Student’s council of the college is constituted every year strictly adhering to the guidelines laid down by Nagpur University, as per section 40 (2) (b) of Maharashtra Universities Act 1994. Students Council Consists of the following members: –

  •  Principal
  •  One senior teacher In charge, nominated by the Principal
  •  Teacher in-charge of N.S.S. unit of the college
  •  Teacher In charge of Sports
  •  Teacher in charge of Cultural Activities.

Students are nominated on the basis of merit as under


  •  One class Representative from each class (Total No-5)
  •  One Sport Representative
  •  One N.S.S. Representative
  •  One Cultural Representative
  •  One lady Representative from Post-graduate Classes.

Thereafter, members of student’s Council elect President and Secretary from amongst them selves. The name of duly elected secretary is communicated by the Principal to the Director of student’s welfare of the University.
Every year, following are the regular activities of student’s Council:

  •  Inauguration of student’s Council
  •  Welcome to Newcomers
  •  Teacher’s Day
  •  Annual Sports
  •  Annual Social Gathering
  •  Farewell to the outgoing students.

In addition to these, students’ council also conducts various Personality Development Programs, Sports and Cultural activities, extension work.

Student’s Council body is a very healthy and active component of the College. It plays a very vital role in maintaining discipline, in solving grievances in curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular matters. It helps in maintaining healthy and cordial environment in the college.
The main objectives of the body are to chanalize the energies of our youth towards the harmonious development of their personality; to motivate students to put to optimum use all developmental opportunities and to express their creativity through various academically, socially and culturally healthy outlets. In short, it prepares them to play the role of useful and efficient citizens in their later years.
