Home - Co-Curricular Activities

EXTENSION AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :

Opportunities to participate in N.S.S, College Students Council, Sports, Talent Competitions, Annual Gathering, Inter-Collegiate and Inter-University Competitions are available at all levels. Each and every student is enocuraged to take part in such activities. Opportunities for community services through various Programmes and PEACE project are also available.

Child Guidance and Student Counseling Centre

Field action project known as Child Guidance and Student Counseling Center was started in the year 1977 for overall development of the children. The protection of child rights, organized awareness programme for children and their parents and perform Advocacy roles are the focus area of the activity. students from BSW I/II/ III/IV semester and post graduate students of Medical and Psychiatric social work are the member of cell.

Women Development Centre

Women development centre was established in 1996-97 for all round development of women's potential and improve their significant role in the development process. The centre organizes awareness Programme and also provides counseling services to the needy. Women's education, health, legal awareness, domestic counseling, family life education, life skill education etc. are the concern area of the women development centre. Representative of the all classes and post graduate students from Family Welfare and Child Studies specialization are the member of this cell.

PEACE Project

Programmes for Extension Activity through Collective Efforts (PEACE) Project established for the purpose to improve quality of life of the community people. The concern areas of this project are Education, Health, protection of Civil Rights and legal Awareness. Project organizes Awareness programmes, Health Camps, Research studies on issues through the Students of BSW. V/VI semester and post graduate students of Community Development specialization who are the member of this project.

Career Counseling & Placement Cell

The college has established Career Counseling & Placement Cell with the initiative of students and faculty members. Through the Cell, we are attempting to be a liaison between the qualified students of the college and organizations. This also helps organizations in their recruitment program. Depending upon the situation the students are either refereed or correspond directly with the organization.

Field Action Projects and Various Coumitiees

The candidates who have registered for the Ph.D., M.Phil. programmes in recognized Universities and pursuing Major and Minor research of U.G.C are the prime beneficiaries of this Research Cell. Research cell organizes Training Programme Workshops, Seminar, Orientation Programmes and interactive session with eminent personality for the student and Faculty. The concern area of the Research cell is to improve quality of Research and make data base of the field, conduct opinion Poll and Research on current issues are the regular activity of the cell.
