Initiated workshops to bring uniformity in Social work practicum at UG & PG levels, Research processes through Sahayog Cluster

Field visits for giving students exposure to the current issues is a regular practice.

Students are motivated to use websites particularly for research and also for preparing their presentation in the class. Group studies and group learning are also encouraged. Students are exposed to various life situations like rural, tribal, urban slums through residential camps and concurrent practice learning.

A series of extension activities undertaken including community surveys, streetplays, poster exhibitions, women development programme, awareness about assistance schems of Governement of Maharashtra and series of Health check-up camps.Many gender sensatisation , legal awereness & skill development programmes were organized by field action projects in the community , for the students and with vulnerable groups. Active research cell, organized orientation s on research processes for students, opinion polls.

Mentoring and Counseling of students on their personal & academic problems. Regular placement activities like career guidance and organizing campus interviews. Encouraged E-Learning,facilities like OPAC ,INFLIBNET made available to the students,Book-bank Facility is offered in the exam period. Students are encouraged to use modern technology like computers , DLPS for making theirl presentations. Being the Lead college,IQAC initiated cluster of Social Work colleges in RTM Nagpur University called SAHAYOG for undertaking collaborative activities for the pursuit of excellence and quality enhancement , about seven activities were conducted through collabotrative efforts. Fund raising drive through students for small activities

The fact that college is selected by UGC for granting “ College with potential for excellence” status it self indictes our persuit for excellence. Days of national importance are observed by involving students in those programmes. 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar celebration was marked by series of activities. Utmost care is taken to impart value education to students and also value based education is the focus of extension programme. Through various programmes during N.S.S. Special Village Camp and on special days like 15thAugust and 26th January students are encouraged to take part in shramdan activities underlining the dignity of labour, students participated in special course on Disaster management. Faculty prepared proposals for seminars and conferences, major minor researches, some of them got sanctioned and were funded. Net working with other NGOs, mother NGOs is also a priority while planning for the Field Action Projects and other college activities. Approved as Partner organization by the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of youth Development to start the P.G. Diploma in Youth Development. Students participation in planning activities like study tour, village camp, annual social gathering and other college activities is encouraged giving maximum scope for creativity and innovations and leadership. Active I.Q.A.C., celebrations of birthdays of staff members and achievements by the staff members. Regular college development committee, and Local management committee meetings. Celebration of Golden Jubilee, with active participation of alumni, students and staff.
