Introduction:-

Library is regarded as heart and soul of an educational institutional. Tirpude College of Social Work has a modern Library to cater to the diverse needs of stakeholders.

Vision and Mission of the Library :-

Vision:-

The vision of the Library is to empower and inspire students to take an active role in their learning: and develop a community of teachers with expertise in modalities that will accommodate all students. As the premier provider of high quality, customized academic opportunities, Library will shape educational futures and will be the ultimate model of learning excellence.

Mission:-

The mission of the Library is to empower and inspire students to take an active role in their learning: provide learning resources.

Aims and Objectives of the Library

To provide information sources necessary for teaching learning process in the subjects, fields of interest in the college.

1. To assist the teachers to be abreast of the latest developments in their areas of specialization.

2. To develop & maintain reading habits among the students.

3. To help the students in their personal growth and to sharpen their intellectual curiosity.

Inter Library Loan :-

Also known as resource sharing the process has two operations: borrowing and lending.

• A borrowing library sends an owning library a request to borrow, books that are needed by their users.

• The owning library fills the request by sending books to the borrowing library.
